3 Key Parameters on Challenges for Success

Today’s inspiration is about the power of challenges and restrictions that stand in the way of your success. I do recall the number of times we talk about restrictions, short comings and limitations as a negative phenomenon. Do we stop and consider what they might actually be provoking us with?

Here is a brilliant Ted Talk to set the tone for today’s motivation on the power of constraints and restrictions on us.

What are your Challenges for success?

I am often fascinated by the dreams and passions. They are such a tremendous source of energy and can bring out a special source of thought in us.

Equally fascinating is that when we have these dreams, we do tend to think about the limitations and challenges to achieve these dreams. I don’t mean them as a complaint at all, but I do want to see that there is a different perspective for self development which makes these challenges for success interesting.

Before delving any further, I would ask you to stop for a minute and think about the dreams at this point in your life right now? Don’t be shy – the crazier the dream – the better it is!

Once you have thought about this – what are the limitations to achieve this dream/dreams?

The World is not Fair!

Well, let’s face it – as much as we try to gloss it over – we do know that the world is not fair. There are people born with more advantages, better resources, etc. I am sure they will also tell you about the limitations if you listen to them intently. They might not look like much, but trust me, for them – these limitations are holding them back from their dreams!

But, yes amidst all the unfairness – there is one fair thing equally distributed – naturally that’s time. There is no argument with that – we all have the same 24Hrs in a day and the question now is to make the best use of it.

We come back to the concept in this task – innovation without constraints probably doesn’t get us too far. The canvas is far too blank for us to fill in. So, let’s put the constraints in.

Challenges for Success!

Challenges for success, obstacles for success, success thinking mindset, breaking the barrier of limitations for success

Key Questions to ask from challenges for success

  • What are your obstacles and challenges for success?
  • What stands in your way?
  • Most importantly, how can you use them?

Now, let me move back from the talk to the personal side or the self improvement side. What are these personal constraints/challenges for success for you?

  • It can be resources, education, time, money and so on
  • It can also be the social network, people you want to meet, etc

Let’s call them restrictions and limitations for the time being. Now this is where we need to call for action the resource of innovation from within.

You might not have the answer today, but you need to set yourself in that direction. None of these articles are to provide an easy quick solution. As you know – if your problems are worthwhile, so are your solutions. If there was a quick and easy fix – you would have found the solution now.

All these topics of self improvement are about taking the mind on a journey to create a conducive environment for thoughts to flourish.

In this instance, instead of letting these challenges and limitations for success as debilitating factors – can you switch the thought process to think of this as an opportunity?

What are your opportunities?

We are nearing the closing lines of this discussion and I will pose this question. As we talk about creative constraints, we also talk about challenges for success.

  • What opportunities are these limitations offering you? Let’s step away from the cynical thought process a bit and really ask ourselves. What qualities do you possess because of these limitations?
  • What are your key strengths because of your brought up and the experiences you are used to? You cannot win based on your weaknesses – you will have to bank on your strengths to create the success you deserve and desire. What are your strengths for being who you are
  • The last and most important question is – how are you going to use it? Knowledge is powerful, it gives a solace to know that you can do things. But nothing succeeds like action. We are not after a feel good factor here, but to create results. If that’s what you truly want, how can you use your situation to get what you want?

Challenges for success don’t always need to work negatively, they can also offer opportunities. The traditional mindset asks us to think of these as stumbling blocks. Maybe they are, but if you are looking at creativity to solve your solution – perhaps they can be your aid rather than an enemy.
