Although I love the power in this quote, I think we need to make sure that we create a pathway to achieve our dreams. They ask committment, perseverance and a clear plan to achieve them. However, this can be a fun and entertaining exercise to make your dreams come true.

Dreams require building – they don’t happen on their own. Every dream requires you to work hard, create a path and make it possible to achieve. In fact, these dreams demand more work from you and force you to take some risks. They also push you out of the comfort zone and ask you to work with uncertainty. All of this is a part of building your dream. Unless you deal with these and create a path forward, the dreams die. And you can find such dreams buried in the graveyard of broken dreams where no action was taken.

All of this is about building your dream – if you don’t build your dream, no one else is going to help. And if you do, help will come out to you in different and unexpected ways. You see, even though people oppose when you start, they will come to you when it starts succeeding. Have patience and trust your dream to follow through.

If you don’t have a dream – then you will follow someone else’s. This world is full of amazing people who have built their dreams and created a massive difference. There’s nothing wrong in joining someone else to build their dream as long as you believe in it. In fact, I will argue that it is fun as well. However, the worst part is in blindly following without a direction or rudder. There might be people who want to hire you and help build their dream. But you have to find a way to make a path into your dream. It need not be about creating a business, but can be about anything you like. Ultimately, it is a choice as Dhirubai Ambani says – whether you want to build your dream or follow someone else’s?
