Dreams transform into thoughts and result in action

Dreams transform into thoughts: This is such a beautiful quote by Abdul Kalam about dreams. Ever since I read his book Wings of Fire, I’ve fallen in love with his thoughts about dreams. These quotes are usually followed by their powerful companions—perseverance and hard work. As we talk about Kalam’s quote – dreams transform into thoughts and actions, let’s try to explore the meaning of this quote and its relevance in today’s world.

His other quotes on dreams such as – You have to dream before your dreams can come true, dream is not which you get while sleeping are powerful reminders of how much these dreams meant to him. These quotes are prominent even to this day and continue to inspire us to dream, think and make these into realities.

Dreams transform into thoughts and result in action

A dream is almost like an itch that doesn’t get satisfied no matter how much you scratch. It constantly keeps pestering you. These dreams haunt you and urge you to do something about them, such as the power of these dreams, because they they’re waiting to be transformed into actions. There’s a small step before they transformed into actions. It’s these thoughts. These are the thoughts which make us dream about what it means for our reality. And dreams always come to us in very amorphous manner.

They’re never clear. They only give you an indication of what they might look like and whether their results are something that you enjoy. But what makes these dreams come true are the thoughts that go behind them. Once you have these thoughts, hold on to them, nurture them and build them. Then comes the next step.

Dreams transform into thoughts and they result in action – Abdul kalam Quotes

Dreams are perhaps the most precious things you’ll feel for. They have a message underneath trying to tell you to do something. The best thing you can do about these dreams is to listen and understand what they are trying to tell you.

Not all dreams demand an action straight away. But they deserve thought and respect to analyse what they mean. If you have a dream – let it cherish. Don’t imprison it with thoughts of practicality. Let the dreams spread their wings wide and explore the possibilities.

To understand the meaning of – Dreams transform into thoughts, few questions to ask are:

  • Why has this dream chosen me?
  • What is it telling me?
  • How is it important to me?

Do Thoughts transform into dreams?

The other fragment of this quote is – do thoughts transform into dreams? The answer is – why not? If dreams can transform into thoughts, our thoughts can also influence these dreams. Simply put, there’s little difference between the influence of thoughts and dreams. In some cases, these dreams might influence thoughts; in others, the thoughts can influence dreams. But, the most important point to remember is how we transform these dreams and thoughts into actions. This is because it is in this space of action where the magic happens.

Thoughts result in action

Dreams fulfil the beautiful purpose of motivating you. They give you a broad picture of what’s important to you. Your dreams have a fantastic purpose of motivating you and keeping you excited. They fill you with phenomenal energy and passion. The next step is to break your dreams down into thoughts.

These thoughts are about how to make it a reality and embrace the challenges in this process. Surely no worthwhile dream is easy. It takes a lot of effort and emotional energy. This is where your strategy of achieving your dreams comes into play. Focus on breaking down your dream into tangible milestones. Use the SMART goal methodology to create milestones for your dream.

These milestones help you in identifying how close you are to these dreams. They give you a clear and objective indication of how you’re progressing – almost like a report card without any bias.

How to use these thoughts?

The final segment I’d like to leave you with is – how to use these thoughts to succeed. Dreams are great because they fill you with energy and passion. But energy and passion fizzle out if you’re just daydreaming about them. Dreams require hard work. But the dreams are never clear. We must use our thoughts to clarify these dreams.

These thoughts help us break down these dreams into actions. In the process of acting on these dreams, we will create results. The dreams, thoughts and actions are a continuous process. It doesn’t stagnate at any point. If you are smart about these dreams, you will use them to learn at every stage. These lessons are at the stages of dreams, thoughts and most importantly – actions. With actions come results and with results the relevant feedback. Ultimately, if we use all these, we have a good chance of getting closer to our dreams and realising our success.

Only results can give you the motivation to move forward. Unless these dreams transformed into thoughts aren’t utilised, the dream falls apart. Don’t fall into the trap of overdreaming and ignoring the importance of actions. Dreams are only your thoughts. They must transform into actions to provide any results whatsoever. If you are serious about your dreams – coach your dreams. Dreams transform into thoughts. Use these thoughts to decide what actions you’ll take. Only then the meaning of this quote come to fruition.
