Who said life was going to be fair?

life is not fair, things are not working out as planned, I constantly feel life is not fair, life's not fair quotes, life is not fair but

Came across this quote on twitter today! What is the first thing we do when something goes wrong? Something goes astray from the way we had planned, something that makes all the effort and emotions spent on it go drown the drain – Throw your hands up in the air, look up and say – THIS IS NOT FAIR! I know I am being a little dramatic here. But I guess I have done it, I find a picture on my mind doing that now 😀

But that’s one of the first and foremost thought that comes to mind. And of course it is not fair! I mean all that effort gone down cos of some simple mistake, and sometimes cos of someone else’s mistake! That is certainly unfair! But who said life is going to be fair?! It is not! There will be a thousand instances where you and I can point out and say things are skewed and things are wrong. Also there might be a million instances where things are fair and right. But somehow they don’t seem to happen to us that often! But I guess that will always be the way things are going to be. And there is not much we can do to avoid that. Wait, there is some good news after all, there is always that one thing which is in our control. No one ever knows what the circumstances and the outputs are going to be but the way we react to them – You know it, I know it, your loved ones know it. That is something which is going to define who you are and what you are made of.

We are rarely judged by the circumstances that led to certain results and we are most certainly judged by the results and outcomes, but I think all along something that is in our control is to find ways to make it happen cos that is what we are committed to and that is what we are going to make happen, no matter how challenging the smaller obstacles are going to be and that I guess is going to make a statement as to who we are!

  1. true…and the grass is always greener on the other side 🙂 some people always think they have all the problems in the world and the entire world is better of than them. some of the stories and news i have read online just proves otherwise. some are just pure horror. if we do compare our lives with such people, our problems will pale in comparison. everyone has problems…and problems are unfair. I guess life is about accepting reality and moving on. well written 🙂

    1. Oh yes indeed.. Someone had nicely paraphrased it – The grass is always greener on the other side and so is the electricity bill 😀 ..

Like you said, it is all about accepting reality the way it is and moving on with a brave smile, and an untired spirit which keeps us alive all through 🙂
