Don’t Read Success Stories, You Will Only Get The Message – Abdul Kalam

Abdul Kalam Success Stories Quote:

“Don’t read success stories, you will only get a message. Read failure stories, you will get some ideas to get success”

– Abdul Kalam

abdul kalam success stories quote, abdul kalam success quote, abdul kalam failure quote

Abdul Kalam : Don’t read success stories, you will only get a message. Read failure stories, you will get some ideas to get success.

Now that’s an interesting turn of quotes – kinda ironic actually. All along we profess you to be positive, look at the most optimistic outcome in every situation and suddenly we are talking about reading failure stories and avoiding success stories.

There are a few reasons that we all love reading success stories

– We are able to relate to people who have faced grave challenges in life and have overcome them successfully. Naturally it fills us up with optimism and the hope that even we can do such things

– It makes us feel energized and we are encouraged to face our challenges in life

– It gives us a feeling that even though these people have faced so many challenges they have come up on the top of life. It makes us feel that anything is possible and we can really look forward to success in life.

It is very logical and quite straight forward as to why we should read the success stories. Even we love reading and writing about them. We call ourselves tellers of success stories by definition :D.

But we also believe in the power of failure as well. Wait a minute – Did I say power of failure?

Well you heard me right – the power of failure, the power of slight amount of fear which makes us rethink our actions and the power of reality and a probability that we might actually fail.

We have always professed that this site is not going to be just about making us feel better, it is more about trying to understand ourselves and elevate the quality of our lives and we are gonna do that with the raw emotions we face everyday.

We do not want to live in denial, we want to know the dangers and challenges life can throw at us and muster the courage and strength within us to face them and come on top of them. And for this specific reason – reading failure stories and not just the success stories alone makes some sense.

I mean it is easy to make ourselves feel good – just focus on all the things that are working for you. And it is also easy to make ourselves feel bad – just focus on all the things that are not working for you. But there is a fair balance in our lives which we are trying to focus on – something which puts us into action, something which pushes us ahead, drives us forward to face our challenges and realize our dreams.

As a natural occurrence, things will go wrong, there are plenty of failures which we need to be weary about. But that doesn’t mean that you are gonna let these fears command you. You are and will be the one in the driving seat, you call the shots and you alone make that difference.

What we are trying to say is as simple as this – there will be pitfalls, there will be challenges. We don’t shut our eyes on them, but we accept them, embrace them and get over them cos we are writing our success stories in life, not just trying to revel in the success stories of others.

And to help set up a plan for these success stories of your life, here is a goal setting template that will help you come up with a realistic plan for your story on success.
