“Too often, the opportunity knocks, but by the time you push back the chain, push back the bolt, unhook the two locks and shut off the burglar alarm, it’s too late.”
-Rita Coolidge
How often do we get opportunities? A few believe it’s once or never, a few believe it’s you who find it and a few like me believe that opportunity knocks a few times. If you fail to answer, you probably have to go find it by yourself. We are not talking about how often good opportunities are how merciless it acts sometimes.
There are these confusions or call it the dilemma that comes to you along with opportunities. The times when you are not sure whether to consider it or let it go. We both have been there and yeah I have to admit it that it’s a troubling phase.
I got a brilliant advice a couple of months ago which has helped me to take decisions at ease. It was a question to ask when in these situations. “Are you doing anything better?” If your answer is yes, say no to the opportunity and you can find similar one when you need and if the answer is no then without thinking much you can be sure to take up the opportunity.
We understand bigger opportunities come with bigger challenges. Somewhere asking a question like this would help you deal with the situation better and you never know, trying this can help you take decisions quicker and easily.
When I had to do the littlest of the little things to do and I didn’t know whether to do, I have tried asking myself the same question and it has helped me in my decision-making.

Great thought.Must for eveyone when an opportunity knocks.
Yes asking yourself if you are doing anything better is a good way to push yourself to do something for most of the time opportunity looks more like work than like a magic pill.
Good thought. Keep writing. Keep inspiring.
