Is it true? Or isn’t it? If all our life’s questions were answered imagination, it would’ve been very easy. However, there’s a small part about taking action about it. We will mostly talk about the mindset that creates our thoughts while exploring the meaning of this quote – we are what we are because we first imagined it.
The premise of this quote is – that our thoughts influence us. These thoughts then transform into dreams and finally into actions. These actions ultimately give us the results that we want. It sounds very similar to the quote by Abdul Kalam – our thoughts transform into actions and dreams.
We are what we are because we have first imagined it meaning

Microcosm and the Macrocosm
This is similar Swami Vivekananda’s thought – microcosm or the minute strands of thought that connect together. These thoughts intertwine you to the world around you and vice versa. The same microcosm which influences the actions of the macrocosm or our bodies.
Influence of a thought:
Ever wonder how you buy a new car and suddenly start noticing that there are so many of the same type of cars as you have? Whenever you are down, don’t you suddenly start noticing all the negative thoughts around the world? Don’t you delve into the slow songs with a lot of lyrical touches to them?
A mood that constantly influences us? If that is the case, can a shift in the thought process help? Can a decision to be optimistic make a difference to your life?
Thoughts and action
The strand of a thought
Sometimes it really is easy to say that things are not alright and keep blaming them. At the same time, it probably makes a lot of sense as to what is driving this thought. Identify what is making you think that way. Tweak the base of the thought. You may start a new chain of events and thoughts and suddenly things start working your way instead of against you. It is just a minor tweak away.
Action
Both the thought and the action upon it finally depend on one single result, the actions you take on them. I am not saying here that you need to analyze all your thoughts and try to build the perfect plan and everything will be solved! But the thought is, to identify your thought pattern- ask yourself what the thought pattern is doing.
Is it hurting you or driving you towards a solution. If the thought process is not helping you, would it make sense to ask a different question?
After all questions are the key to all answers my friend!
