Don’t Read Success Stories, you will only get a message -Abdul Kalam

Don’t read success stories: This is one of my favourite quotes from Abdul Kalam. It talks about the value of these failure stories that gives us so much more than inspiration. I don’t deny the value of inspiration. In fact, I’m one of the biggest fans of anything that inspires us. However, this quote talks about the value and inspiration in failure stories too. The success stories tell us that something is possible. It makes us dream, feel inspired and find the motivation to do something about these dreams or thoughts.

The failure stories are about caution, being realistic and recognising that some of the success stories may not be as realistic as they sound. The success stories we hear tend to ignore some of the hardships people have gone through. These stories create an impression that success might be easy. The failure stories however are more valuable because they show where we can go wrong and what we can do about it. We don’t need to repeat the same mistakes as others. We can learn from these mistakes and learn to become better and protect ourselves from some failures.

Don’t Let Yesterday Take Up Too Much Of Today

Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today, meaning: This quote is all about regrets and moving forward in life. Although we’re aware of quotes that say live life without regrets, I believe regrets are valuable. Yesterday is a beautiful reality that keeps telling us something. It is feedback to use for our future and move ahead with life. Yes, we shouldn’t dwell in the past. By that, I mean don’t worry about what has happened – worry about how to move forward from it.

Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it

A beautiful quote by William Penn to define and defend doing the right thing. This is often the most challenging and sad thing that the good people don’t always have the courage to do the right thing. The simplest reason might be confidence, but the other complex reasons include social ostracisation and a sense of belonging.

Suffering is the essence of Success – Abdul Kalam

Suffering is the essence of success: I’m conflicted about this quote. Although I appreciate what Abdul Kalam says about suffering i.e. hard work, perseverance and facing disappointments, I’m also against suffering as a precondition for success. Our journey should be fun because it isn’t the results that matter in the end. It is about the journey we take and how we feel about it in the long run. Let’s read on more to talk about this inspirational quote from Abdul Kalam

Do not go where the path may lead: This is a beautiful quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that talks about choosing our path in life.
