Let’s face it. Decisions are difficult. They don’t come to use at ease because there’s always something to lose. I don’t want to discount the pros and cons exercise because it has saved me in the past. For most simple decisions it works like a charm. If nothing, it transparently lays out in front of you the benefits and losses of the decision you’re able to make. And there’s a lot of merit to that.
Even if you are on the right track: We’ve got to keep moving and adapting in life. Our job is not over when we reach success. Instead, it is only in continuous progress that we will see lasting success. It is the same tortoise and hare story. The moment, we decide to take our eyes off the goal – more obstacles creep up. Obstacles become these scary things that magically appear when we move astray.
