Quote of the day:
And this is our quote of the day:
“It Doesn’t Take Too Much Of Light To Wipe Out Darkness”
Paraphrasing the quote above, all we need is one good deed and the rest will start falling into place. The thought dwells a little deeper when we look at all the things we have done and more importantly all the things we could have done but didn’t. In other words, we are going to talk about guilt and repenting in today’s quote of the day.
I think we all have been in such situations where we wanted to do a lot others but we did not. Of all the reasons we have given, I think a few common ones were
- I did not want enough time
- I realized that it won’t create as much as an impact I would like to
- There is already someone doing something like this. Mine won’t be a great value addition
- I am not doing anything different, so why bother.
And lots more. But something common in all of these is that we have all had a desire to do something and the reason why we held back was that we felt that it would not be enough and it would not matter that much.
If that is the base of thought, may I ask another question
What did you or I do better?
Of course I agree that we need to do things differently, we need to create an impact and we need to make a difference. But between doing something and not doing anything at all, what is a better trade off? I would rather say doing that doing a small deed would have gone a much longer way than not doing anything at all.
Most times we have procrastinated our priorities and less important issues cos something more urgent and something seemingly more relevant took its place. In the end, the question still remains large – what did we actually do about it? Did we do anything at all to make things better? I had a similar thought about the nepal earthquake only to realize – Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step.
What do we have in the end?
What actions did we take and what results do we have to show for? In the end, all it remains is as a lament or a desire and a could be and would be. Unfortunately there is very little place for ifs and buts or could be and would be’s in life – isn’t there? I mean we can all do a lot of things in our imagination and can feel emotionally great about it with imagination.
But imagination alone can take us only that far.
As our quote of the day states, it doesn’t really take too much of light to wipe out darkness. It doesn’t take a grandiose gesture to make a difference to this world. All it takes is a little bit of care and action in that direction. It is in those small events we can make the larger differences in life. It is in these small actions we can influence and inspire others and make a difference we desired to create. Sometimes all we need to do is show a small gesture – The gesture that counts
Thing is, a good deed is not that hard in life. All it takes is a little bit of the mindset.
And that is our quote of the day. Stay tuned in for more.

I love you guys. Keep on pressing forward.
This is such an in-depth message. One can relate to this quote in several ways through life’s experiences. In my case it plays in the field of art… I have always thought that, there is a healthy competition out there, so there no place for me to show my work. But very soon I learnt that I was wrong and I must be out there with my creations. And it really turned out to be good among goods with a uniqueness of my thoughts.
A good mindset translated into good actions does wonders. Loved the thought Vinay.
