Neerja Sethi and Jayashree Ullal Among America’s Richest Self-made Women

Forbes recently announced the America’s richest self-made women. I found two 2 names pretty familiar. Those two were the Indian names: Neerja Sethi ranked 14th and Jayshree Ullal ranked 30th.

Neerja Sethi

Neerja Sethi, aged 60 is the co-founder of Syntel ( An IT consulting, outsourcing company) She served as Syntel treasurer for about 16years and currently she is the vice president who looks after the corporate affairs.

In 1980, Neerja Sethi and Bharat Desai founded Syntel with a mission, “We create new opportunities for clients by harnessing the passion, talent and innovation of Syntel employees worldwide.” Today Syntel has 24,534 and more employees.

Neerja Sethi ranks 14th in the list of America’s Richest Self-made Women with a net worth of $1.1 Billion.

Jayshree Ullal

Jayashree Ullal, aged 54 is the president and CEO of Arista Networks.

Arista Networks was founded to deliver software driven cloud networking solutions for large data center and high-performance computing environments.

Jayashree Ullal,  for her work at Arista Networks was named by Forbes magazine as “one of the top five most influential people in the networking industry today”

Jayashree ranks 30th in the list of America’s Richest Self-made Women with a net worth of $470 Million.
