Malala Yousafzai: 5 Powerful Messages To The World
‘Men involved in Malala Yousafzai shooting arrested in Pakistan’ What a delightful news to see in the morning. Happy news to the world.
Malala Yousafzai needs very little of an introduction.
A 11-year-old girl from the Swat Valley of Pakistan raised a question “ How dare Taliban take away my basic right to education?” She questioned this at a small press club for the first time and today she has reached the entire world fighting for the right to education.
When this 15 year old teenage girl was heading back to home after her exam, She was hit with one bullet by a masked gunman. Despite serious head injuries she survived The Pakistan army and police team have tried to bring a little justice to the girl today.
Malala is 17 years old today and still continues to speak out the importance of educating children She dreams to become a politician one day to reform and facilitate rights for her country’s people. What better example to realise the power of an individual. Right?
Malala has immensely spread the importance of education in the world. Have a look at her 5 powerful messages to the world.
We realize the importance of our voices only when we are silenced.
Quote 2:
We were scared, but our fear was not as strong as our courage.
Quote 3:
One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.
Quote 4:
Life isn’t just about taking in oxygen and giving out carbon dioxide.
Quote 5:
When someone takes away your pens you realise quite how important education is.
Malala’s life is an inspiration to many of us. She ignites in you the voice for standing your rights and your justice. She brings in you the rebellion spirit to fight over the odds in life. Her autobiography I Am Malala : The Girl who Stood Up for Education and was Shot by the Taliban will make you believe in the power of one person’s voice to inspire change in the world.

Thank you Anki :)
Whenever I see this girl or hear about her I remember Achiles, who chose an eventful and honourable life over a long life.
Thank you Datta :). Oh yea, that is a beautiful comparison. And speaking of Achilees, I loved the movie Troy and Brad Pitt in that movie was simply amazing. It still stands as one of the best movies I have ever watched :)
Vinay I was talking more in context to the Epic Iliad, which I had read….thinking of Brad Pitt makes me look focus, :P Watched the movie….the Epic is more beautiful than the movie….BTW Inspire99 is showing 404 error :(
Aaah, I haven’t had an opportunity to read the epic yet Datta. Really cool that you have read it :). He he he he :D :D .. Someday I will get my hands on the epic. From the time I watched that movie, I have really been impressed and very interested in the original story.
As for inspire99, it was going through a server shift. Had a few problems with my earlier hosting, have moved to a new one. It will be clean and a little more improved from now on. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I absolutely loved the second one….wonderful post..kudos
Thank you Chaitali :)
Life isn’t just about taking in oxygen and giving out carbon dioxide.
What a great line. Bro if you will contemplate then you will realize that why she said those line. I think she was constantly looking people around her who were just breathing and getting suppressed by the Talibanese. Her lines are really awesome and I really believe that they must have made an impact on mind of people of her country and world as well.
I can also connect with these line. I will not breath and die useless. I have to do something useful for the humankind.
Thank you Nitin :). True, I mean for every one of these quotes, trying to imagine her environment and the kind of people she was exposed to on a daily basis and the kind of experiences she was pushed to, what she did was indeed commendable to say the least..
Thank You Vinay for sharing this. I just completed reading I am Malala. I just don’t have words on how beautifully she has explained the beauty of Swat Valley and the tragic incidents occurred to her. Really appreciate her for what she is and for what she stands for!
Thank you Krishna :). Oh wow! That’s brilliant! How did you like the book?
Wonderful post Vinay. I am glad to see and read this about Malala :)
Thank you Alok :).. She is one amazing girl!
Super article Vinay, inspiring no doubt.
Thank you Shweta :)
Hi Vinay, its a good post on her in few points. I like the first quote from her the best as it applies on almost everything … I am constantly amazed by the girl’s grit and determination not to forget mentioning her quest and hunger for learning… she is commendable … and so are you in presenting truly inspiring scenes and words :)
Thank you Kokila :). I think she is one amazing girl, every time I think of the incident when she stood up to an oppressing force and stood up for what she believed was right, there is nothing more powerful than that.. All of this by a 11 year old?! My god! :)
Very profound insight indeed. Good job Vinay. Well, while reading it, I was thinking that would she gain this name and fame if she didn’t hit by bullet? Wasn’t that hit an opportunity in disguise?
Actually very very valid point Ravish, I am sure that the event would not have registered if not for the incident. And I am also sure that there would have been stronger voices and actions which would not have been heard as well. Kinda weird though, but that is the media industry isn’t it?
Also Ravish, I wanted a quick suggestion, I think the slide shows are being received very well. But I was wondering is 5 quotes a very small number? My gut somehow said that the slide show got over before I could get to the depth of it. Do you think adding more makes sense? Or is 5 a decent number to stick on to?
Vinay, you can go with more slides but I think quality is much important than quantity. I’d like to suggest that add a little commentary with quotes or tag a thought provoking question related to the quotes :)
Vinay, I’m least concerned with others as influencers. I wasn’t thinking about the media but paradoxical nature of existence – opportunity in guise of failure – the price of greatness. :)
Thank you Ravish, I shall keep that in mind and work on it.
Well, as for the price of greatness, I guess it comes at quite a cost, if we look at history, many of those famous names come with quite a heavy price on them, like Gandhi or Subhash and even more heroes who strove to do what they thought was right..
