Change about your body
So… If there was one thing you would like to change about your body, what would it be?
What is your answer to this? You might be thinking now about what it is that you would want to change, you might even want to write down here, but then your mind says,
“Hey wait! I like the way I am. I don’t want to change anything about me or my body.”
Ok, I get it, you are on the right track, I am so glad you appreciate what you are and how you look and I also appreciate the fact that your mind did think of a few things to answer my question.
Appreciating ourselves
We understand, though you like yourself completely, there are a few things which you don’t appreciate much in your body, it might be the texture of your hair, the colour of your skin, the shape of your nose, your height, or your body shape.
We can find a couple of things if we try to find what we don’t like. But a sensible question arises, why bother about the things you can’t change instead let’s accept them and focus on the things we can. Let’s give it another term, let’s call it betterment.
And I believe most of you are happy to use the word betterment now. Oh! How you would want to reduce some weight and look better or how you would want to get a new haircut and look better.
Being comfortable in your own shoes
If you are keen on your physical appearance there are plenty of ways to make it better without going under the scissors or knives.
Or. Why even bother to concentrate on physical appearance? Maybe it’s too soon for us to realize it now, but we will, someday, in our lives realise how much time, energy and emotions we wasted on the things which hardly matter.
Because in the end, all that matter is how you are as a person and not how you looked as a person. Let’s work on our behaviour and attitude instead, let’s make it better because a person with a proper attitude attracts more people than a person with physical beauty.
I wish we all be like the little kids who barely think about their physical appearance and concentrate on beautifying our inner beauty.

Great post and video. It just shows how we lose our creative thinking as we grow up :)
Do you know, an experiment conducted on babies also concluded that they respond better to pretty faces? The ‘superficial’ beauty mystery runs quite ‘deep’. No matter what we say, first impressions will always hinge on beauty.
I agree we should keep our focus on d betterment of innerself….a betterself…external beauty is temporary… But d inner beauty is d one that matters n which stays wid us foreva :)) thx vidya ^_^
Thank you Nanhi. I glad you like the post. Feels good to see more people believing in the beauty of personality :) Cheers to such good thoughts :)
Thanks Vidhyashree for sharing this wonderful message. Ya, we need to accept who we are. There is no need to change anything. I really love your incorporation of the word ‘betterment’. A small shift of word changes the thinking of the person. Love the video
Thank you Yatin. Thank you for the appreciation. I feel good :) Cheers to good thoughts :)
Accepting imperfections makes one perfect, internal happiness matters the most.
I like the way you put it Shweta. Imperfections make perfection.
Well said Vidhyashree and a nice message for the society. Loved the way you compared it with little kid’s thinking. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you Gowthama. I am glad you liked the video. Cheers to good thoughts :)
Inner beauty is what we should concentrate on. :)
Great post on this unique topic.
Thank you Indrani :)
A person who has a great mind, is nice to everyone- is beautiful to me… :-) Loved the last line Vidyashree…
Thank you Maniparna :) We sometimes go so much affected by the external appearance that finding beauty in all becomes quite challenging. what say? But ultimately its always the nice person who wins over a good looking person :)
where do we find this thing, this inner beauty?
That’s a very sensible question and a must ask question for all of us. Very tough to find. Inner beauty is masked mostly with the makeup and most of the times fake personality. Pretty challenging thing to find :)
Entire concept is so well put Vidyashree… Initially even I said cutting on my fat in usual areas, but then the ending of the post was superb, that should be it… inner beauty indeed :)
Thank you Tara, I appreciate your thoughts :) How nice if people could see what actually matters in long run :)
