Amitabh Bachchan : An Eager Beaver
“Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahin, naamumkin hai.” You are sure to have guessed the hero I am talking about. Amitabh Bachchan alias ‘Big B’ alias ‘Angry Young Man’ alias shahenshah,..… What else did I miss? Popularly known for his roles in movies – Anand, Zanjeer, Silsila, Akbar Anthony, Don, Namak Haraam, Paa, Black.
The superstar of Bollywood can gather thousands of people just by his voice. He is widely popular for his impeccable dialogue delivery and deep voice. Amitabh completes 72 years today and still remains favourite among different generations.
On his birthday let’s have a look at the achievements and untold stories of the iconic movie star.

UNTOLD STORIES
It Was A Question of Passion
Bachchan worked as freight broker for a shipping firm in his twenties. He left his job to embark on his passion. To start a career of his desire he came to Mumbai, where dreams come into reality (I become very filmy while writing :) )
Not a Hero Material
A man who was more than 6 feet height didn’t stand a chase in Bollywood back then (whereas 6 feet is a minimum criteria today) He was often rejected by producers as they felt his appearance wasn’t camera conducive.
The Voice We All Love
I know you have heard this story about him, how he was rejected from All India Radio as his voice was not suitable for radio. He was even asked to soften his voice by a few movie makers. The same voice which we crave to hear was rejected several times.
In his initial days of struggle, when he couldn’t bare his expenses, he had to lend his voice for movies and he later got recognition as a good narrator.
The Story of Blockbuster
Stardom didn’t come all easy for Amitabh Bachchan. He failed multiple times, he gave more than 10 flop films giving a superhit movie Zanjeer, from which he got the title of ‘Angry Young Man’
He had a on and off career. Many of films flopped but he continued to progress gradually and ruled the movie industry for four decades and still continues to rule.
Change is Necessary
We have heard of the times when Amitabh Bacchan joined politics and resigned after 3 years, He later founded Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited, an event management and production company. His two new ventures didn’t work well for him. He even faced a financial crisis at one point of life.
Maybe it was all necessary, for him to make a powerful comeback which astonished many.
Hard Work is the Mantra
He is a hard worker. Despite his age, he works hard just like any other young artist, sometimes works even more than them. .He is a role model for many young actors today
Enthusiasm is the Energy Capsule
Do you want to know from where he brings that energy? He says, “Anticipation of work begins to build in after a short gap, the butterflies and the nerves act up and the mind begins to gear up to perform to the optimum.”
Amitabh Bachchan is an unforgettable image in Indian film Industry. He showed us persistence, perseverance and hard work will take us to the place we deserve.
Wishing him a very happy birthday. He is one of the actors whom I love watching and hearing. ‘Don’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Paa’ has been among my top likes. Tell us yours; we would love to hear from you.
