Sachin Tendulkar Motivational Quotes: Which Indian doesn’t know of Sachin Tendulkar. He has left behind a history as one of the most compelling cricketers of all time and owns the title as the “God of Cricket”. I’ve loved watching him play, the finesse, determination, concentration are a few things that have continued to inspire me about this story. This article is a collection of inspiring quotes from Sachin.
Sachin Tendulkar Quotes
Sachin has always struck as a simple, minding my own business type of a character. I haven’t seen him involved in too many controversies. It just feels like someone who just wants to carry on doing what he loves and isn’t swayed by the things around him. His demeanour not only commands a lot of respect but also a certain sense of reverence from people. Perhaps this is the reason why he’s remembered so fondly even after retiring from international cricket.
Here are some inspiring quotes from Sachin
Don’t stop chasing your dreams, because dreams do come true – Tendulkar Quotes
Have you ever had a dream you were so passionate about that you couldn’t stop thinking about it? Maybe someone told you that your dream is unrealistic or unachievable. But don’t let others discourage you – dreams do come true if you keep working towards them.
It might take a lot of hard work, perseverance, and dedication, but don’t give up. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Keep setting goals and taking small steps towards your dream. And when you finally achieve it, the feeling of accomplishment will be indescribable. So don’t stop chasing your dreams, because they really can come true.
Critics haven’t taught me my cricket, and they don’t know what my body and mind are up to
Every good work faces criticism. No one is safe from critics or these armchair experts. But we have to remember that it is their business and entertainment rather than expertise. If you want to grow, listen to experts who can help you grow. If Sachin kept listening to these critics, he wouldn’t have been the cricketer he is today. Focus on your work, learn from people who are capable of helping you. Don’t fall into the trap of this noise from critics – they will never help you grow.
When people throw stones at you, you turn them into milestones – Sachin Quotes
I love this quote – this is about how well we use criticism. Criticism hurts, but this can’t destroy us. Remember Ratan Tata’s saying – nothing can destroy iron but it’s rust. Nothing can destroy our personality. Criticisms hurt, but we can’t stop there. Our life is beyond these criticisms and things that hold us back. Instead, we have to focus on moving forward and creating our future.
I have never tried to compare myself to anyone else – Tendulkar Quotes
This is probably one of my favourite Sachin quotes. The comparisons kill our ability to enjoy our work. There’s always something we can compare ourselves to but the outcome is always bad. We can’t compare our beginning to someone else’s middle. To be fair, none of us are born equal. we have different opportunities, challenges and capabilities. Comparison creates unfairness, unhappiness and can easily create a feeling of inadequacy.
I hate losing, once I enter the ground that hunger for winning is always there – Sachin Quotes
Play to win rather than play to lose – whether it is our deepest desires or goals, we enter with the mindset to fight and win. This quote by Tendulkar talks about the winning spirit and to keep fighting no matter how difficult the odds are. This is what makes us fascinating isn’t it? To be able to fight against the odds, find our spirit to keep pushing forward.
If you remain humble, people will give you love and respect – I would be happier hearing people say, “Sachin is a good human being” than “Sachin is a great cricketer”
Ultimately it is the person we become. Whatever job we do is only a part of our identity. It can’t consume our entire life. I agree that our jobs and work bring meaning to our lives. But our life is well beyond these jobs and ways to earn money – it is about the person we become and the values we follow.
The only thing that was on my mind was, ‘I want to play for India one day,’ and I was pretty sure and confident that one day I will
This is an amazing dream and that’s the beauty which unites us all – the ability to dream a possibility. Most of these possibilities look impossible, but the best thing we can do is to put the work and hope for the best. Opportunities will manifest as long as we keep working and improving. Ultimately, nothing can stop us if we keep adapting, after all destiny is not just a matter a chance but of choice.
I grew up looking at my father as to how to behave. In watching, him I grasped so many things. His own temperament was of a calm person. He was very composed and I never saw anger in him. To me, that was fascinating.
This quote by Sachin Tendulkar talks about the influence his father had on him. Our role models create our values and inspire us continually. For some, it can be our fathers or any relatives or someone we truly admire. But we must choose these role models carefully because they have a huge influence on us. The best thing we can do about role models is to be aware of what aspect of them inspires us. And sometimes we should even create a boundary of what in them inspires us and what other things we can ignore. They don’t have to be perfect.
I’m really focusing now on how I can get to the next level as a batsman. How can I get even more competitive, consistent and better?
The best success we can have is in constant improvement. There is no such thing as a perfect batsman. But we can continually keep improving and become better. This is the only permanent thing – growth and consistency. As long as we keep focusing on moving forward, the entire domain of perfection, expectation and all goes away. Instead, the focus is just on becoming better and doing a great job.
Any active sportsman has to be very focused; you’ve got to be in the right frame of mind
Focus, concentration are trademarks of doing an excellent quality of work. If we don’t focus on the things that matter to us or get easily distracted, our work suffers. And if we are known by our work, then the outcome suffers too. The best thing we can do is to maintain this excellent focus and concentrate on doing the best. The results, outcomes and everything else will follow. But we shouldn’t compromise on this quality.

Noble thoughts indeed
Lovely post on the great Sachin. Thank you so much for the update. These are so uplifting to go through. L wrote on him in one of my posts……a legend indeed!😊😊
Indeed, I am pleased to hear from you Piyush. Sachin is no short of a legend in any way. I am quite excited that a new game has come up, not that I am a video game junkie, but I often wondered why he hadn’t been popularised on that front. Maybe he was following a low profile.
sachin gives us many ideas for sucess if we follow one we can be sucess like sachin.
He is indeed a true inspiration Anjali and continues to be one :)
Those are nuggets from him and I have always found Sachin to be honest (he is a taurian and so am i ;))…my favourite is I know when to switch on and off on ground and off, coz thats what applies to us right many of us drag work home and never switch off…awesome post again.
Thanks Shweta, interesting to know about the Taurian connection :).. He has been a mark of true inspiration – always felt like someone who put his head down and focused on what he was really doing. Someone who minds his own business which often is a very hard trait to find around us these days.. Thank you for your kind words
legendary ones from the legend himself :-)
Indeed :). .Thank you Archana,
Lovely Post on The Great Sachin. Thank you So Much for the Update.
Thank you Yash.. Nice to see you back here. Although I am a huge fan of Rahul Dravid, Sachin sure is the god of cricket. I have been aching to do a compilation of Rahul Dravid as well. Maybe some day soon :)
Woohoo! So many punches on face. Awakening post indeed!!
He he he :D .. Thank you Tara.. Ha ha, punches indeed. Man he has gone through so much. I always looked at these achievers and said wow, never really realizing or relating to he challenges they would have gone through. But these thoughts and quotes make me rethink and realize that there is a lot more to an achievement than it looks..
Such inspiring quotes from a great person we all admire…thanks a lot for sharing Vidyashree… :-)
Thank you Maniparna. It is a delight to see more of you :). Sachin sure is the god of cricket and these words are no less too :)
Awesome vidhya.A superb post
Thank you Bindu, it sure is a lovely collection of quotes. I am glad to know that you liked them :)
These are so uplifting to go through. I wrote on him in one of my posts…a legend indeed!
Nice Alok :).. I would really like to read yours. Ineed a legend in all sorts. Dravid on one of his quotes says – timing, technique is just a part of the game, the real game is in dedication, character and the hard work. Kinda makes sense doesn’t it?
