WOW – Your 3 Favourite WOW Words?! – Passion, Perseverance And People

Words! What would we be without them? If you ask a blogger or any writer about words, we pride ourselves on them, we thrive ourselves on them and I am sure we all know how powerful they are and can be.

And for us here at inspire99, words have been the best magic we have seen woven over the years and we have loved the way they have developed us and the way we have incorporated a few into our lives.

And the weekend prompt is to write the 3 WOW words which mean the world to us. Trust me, challenges seem to get harder these days esp when people say, we have only 3 words to select. Nevertheless, here is our shot at them.

  1. Passion

What would we be without it. Inspire99 has produced over 700 posts over the last two years and if I look back as to what made that happen, I can only talk about the amazing people who have read, interacted with us, provided us some extremely valuable feedback and above all engaged us to go ahead with our endeavour with words.

If not for them, you the whole idea of this website would probably have died down a long time ago.

Sometimes I prefer to call this a passion for writing, some other times I call it a passion to be with people and some other times I feel that it is the passion of people to read and interact with us although sometimes it is a long conversation.

2. People

Now, this sounds so much like my first one. But I promise you that I will try and keep it a little different. It was this very reason why this blog actually started. We wanted to connect with people where we could share our thoughts, learn from you and our friends and share our knowledge or views which can perhaps help or at least resonate with them. We won’t go overboard to say that all advice we give here is golden, we have made a few mistakes and we have done a few things right. But the agenda has always been people and strike a chord to resonate and reach out.

3. Perseverance

It seems like I am on a ‘P’ war with this, but trust me, after the first two P’s, we simply couldn’t go on to any other letter. I like the words perseverance and resilience, a lot of my values and the values of inspire99 relate to this word and we have really tried hard to maintain it as such.

I have been a fan of this word from the time I read about Swami Vivekananda and his quotes. And as we talk about him, I would like to share a quote of his

“To succeed, you must have tremendous perseverance, tremendous will. “I will drink the ocean”, says the persevering soul; “at my will mountains will crumble up”. Have that sort of energy, that sort of will; work hard, and you will reach the goal.

Do you need anything more powerful than that?

Well, these are our 3 words for the day, the 3 wow words for us. Stay tuned in for more :).

These three Ps are very much important along with the two others mentioned here, Patience and Principle.

Aloow me to add another one, Practicality… :-D

  2. Ha ha, yeah the P’s seem to agree well with me today. I am on the P zone and I kinda like these words.. “Patience” oh yes that is a nice word. For me patience and perseverance go very well hand in hand and they complement each other beautifully. They make such a good impact.

  3. Hi George, nice to hear from you. Principles is a good word. I like it, values and principles – what would we be without them and how would we define ourselves? They sure play an important role, in literally almost everything we do in our lives :)..Your views are extremely valid mate and I completely appreciate them, esp when they are based on a strong value rationale..

  4. My favorite word also starts with letter “P” – Principle. I write according to my own opinion and faith. There might be some people who do not agree with me and I respect that, but I am expecting respect in return. It means a lot to me and I do not write based on other people’s point of view because I wanted my opinions be heard too.
