Success or failure is caused by Mental Attitude Meaning

success or failure quote, success and mental attitude quote, success and capacity quote, success and failure quote,

Sometimes, we place too much importance on skills and technical ability. However, our mental attitude helps us to learn these skills and develop the necessary expertise. This quote is all about refining our mental attitude to achieve our goals. In this section, I want to refer to the beauty of mental attitude that can help us target larger challenges.

We can develop our skills with a good attitude to serve our needs.

What is mental attitude?

Mental attitude refers to our mindset, beliefs, thoughts, and perspectives. It defines the outlook and approaches we take while dealing with various situations, challenges, and opportunities. The mental attitude can be positive or negative, optimistic or pessimistic, growth-oriented or fixed. Training our mindset can help us define our approach and life a healthier lifestyle.

The mindset influences our thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and actions, shaping our responses to circumstances. It influences the overall well-being and success in different aspects of life. A positive mental attitude has optimism, resilience, a growth mindset, and a proactive approach. Whereas a negative mental attitude has pessimism, self-doubt, a fixed mindset, and a reactive approach. We can cultivate mental attitude through self-awareness, mindfulness, personal development, and adopting empowering beliefs and perspectives.

What defines success or failure?

Well, then what is the truth? What is the ultimate recipe for success which never fails? I’m not sure if anyone knows a foolproof answer. But the beauty is in continued perseverance and learning from each experience. Whether it is success or failure, each gives us an opportunity to learn from. If we’re keen and clever enough, we can keep improving and becoming better. Ultimately, this is where success lies. Continued progress can achieve bigger results than perfection itself which might take forever!

  • Persistence and perseverance
  • Some say it is sheer talent and no one else has access to that. Honestly, even if this were true, I would not like to believe it. I’d rather believe in a lie that makes us strive hard for a compelling future than accept a poor fate.
  • Resources, people and luck

No single thing causes your success. It is a combination of these factors which gets you close to your dreams. This comes back to how we deal with failure.

Every little thing we believe in can be true. It creates the fabric of our thought and hence decides our actions. We got to decide very carefully as to what we let influence us.And if you look at the quote carefully, all it says is the same.

“Success or failure is caused more by mental attitude than by mental capacity”

  3. Thank you Vinitha :). Indeed, every little bit adds, the little bit of anger, the little bit of emotion behind it, also the little bit of despair and hope and above all the spirit and the heart to continue even when things seem a bit down and not completely in our favour.

  4. Thank you Maniparna. I love this one too, it kinda makes us believe in the impossible and for a poet, it kinda rekindles the poetic spirit romanticism which drives us all ahead.

  5. Thank you Sanu. It makes us feel really good that we are able to connect and actually be of some help :). It kinda fulfils the purpose of the posts :). Hoping to see more of you over here :)..

    Cheers mate.

  6. True Sunita :). I think failure success are mere perspectives. What we have in the end are outcomes, the outcomes we like and the outcomes we don’t like. And looking at it very objectively, it just means that if there is something out there we don’t like, we got to get out there and do what we really like :)

  7. Indeed Somali. I think the talent bit is highly overrated in this country and sometimes highly overrated in other countries as well. It is like an idea being given more importance than its execution. Talent is simply a potential energy. Only attitude can make it kinetic and functional :)

  8. This is such a wise quote Vinay. Indeed, one’s attitude contours one’s capacity and gives it a positive push!

  9. Great post! I too believe that aa little bit of each ingredient sums up to success! And like us said ,we decide influences us :)

  12. Somali K Chakrabarti

Absolutely true Vinay. Talent or capacity imparts ability. The right attitude channelizes the ability. Finally. attitude beats talent if talent doesn’t work.

  13. Absolutely..everything is in the mind..
Failure is simply another opportunity given to us to do things in a different but successful perspective!
