Jim Carrey: See what you dream!

Jim Carrey is a terrific comedian who has made people laugh their hearts out.  Whether it’s The Dumb and DumberThe Mask, Liar Liar or Bruce Almighty,  I have you enjoyed it. I am a little addicted to Oprah’s talks these days after learning about her inspiring story 5 Lessons To Learn From Oprah Winfrey. I got this interesting video of her show featuring Jim Carrey.

Jim Carrey a boy from a lower middle-class family once worked as a  janitor. He left school to support his family financially. Imagine a teenager who lived in a van for many days dreaming like this, what would we say “Poor kid! Finding happiness in dreaming” In reality, he did find it in living his dreams. I am amazed by how visualizing the future can create wonders in life.

We know a dream doesn’t come true through magic; it takes hard work, determination, persistence and constant motivation. We have motivating songs, motivating speeches, and motivating stories, but one thing which is sure to work is self-motivation. If you look at most of the inspiring people they kept motivating themselves either by thinking about escaping their painful present or thinking about living a glorious future.

It does make sense because everything we do is to make ourselves feel better whether it’s dreaming or hoping. When your today is painful doesn’t it feel good to believe it’s going to be painless tomorrow? Every dream brings the joy and happiness you have been craving in life and when you believe it’s going to come true one day only because of your efforts you are bound to work hard for it because the future that you see is peerless to your present.

  1. Thank you Anupam :). Me neither, I must have watched it atleast 10 times and it feels so fresh each time. The entire message in it and of course Morgan Freeman make such a huge difference :)

  2. I don’t know how many times i’ve watched bruce almighty maybe i’ll watch it again tonight but this time I would look at him in a different light. Going from rags to riches takes a lot of determination and imagination of course.

  3. He he, that was something which blew us as well! So many interesting stories and so many wonderful people and to know that they have reached such great heights is fascinating indeed.. A lot for us to pick up from.

  4. Thank you Namrata. I loved him from the time I watched his MASK and then Ace Ventura.. But ultimately it was Bruce Almighty. No one could have done it better than him! This is one man who commands absolute respect :)..

  5. Jim Carrey as a Janitor is unimaginable ! This is definitely inspiring ! He is one of my favorite comedians , and to know he was once not so successful and climbed the the staircase to success all on his own is surely inspirational :)

  6. Namrata Kumari

I am a great fan of his. Not just a comedian, but he is a great actor. I watched his psycho thriller the number 23 and I was so amazed to see him there.

Self motivation is of course, one of the most crucial ingredients needed to fulfill our dreams. This post itself is very very motivational. I am feeling a positive wave around me. :)
