Have You Heard of Color Run

Color_Run_LogoColor Run? That was my first question when I asked myself. I am sure many of you are not aware of this. It hasn’t happened ever in India and I doubt about it happening in the near future. As the color Run happens in more than 30 countries, I thought why not pass a piece of information to you guys.

What is Color Run?

The Color Run mostly called  the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality. There is no winner here but of course everyone gets their share of happiness as they shower you with colored powder, mostly organic and it’s always fun to run with your friends and family.

How Does This Happen?

Green_station_on_2014_Paris_Color_RunThe runners come here wearing white shirt. They start their 5k race and at every 1k they are doused with different colors so that by the end of the race runners find themselves as a piece of art 🙂

What’s All This For?

The Color Run is a  for-profit event management company. They have been working with the development of society by providing fund for charitable trusts. Till date, they have contributed more than $3 million as charity and are spreading their wings with the 2014 Kaleidoscope Tour to expand the fun, healthiness and definitely service.

Why Doesn’t this happen in India?

It happens in many Asian countries but not in India. Well, honestly I don’t know the answer or maybe because we have holi 😀 Guessing the color run to come to India in a near few years.

Why Did I write this up?

He he.. Well, let me admit, I had never heard of this before and I know there are many like me. With a belief that knowing something which you didn’t know isn’t a harm I came up with this post. Maybe, next time when someone talks to you about this or asks you about this, you are sure to know what color run is all about 🙂
