Dushiant Dushyant: Bronze Medal Within 2 years. Asian Games 2014

What a great start for India with the successful Mars Mission and here comes one more successful story from a 22 year old Dushiant Dushyant , who wins bronze in single sculls rowing in the Asian Games 2014, completing 2000 meter race in 7 minutes 26.57 seconds, winning the first medal in rowing for India this year.

To win a bronze medal at the Asian Games which involves competitors from 45 nations is a great accomplishment. Dushyant began rowing in 2012 after his coach identified him at an army training camp. Starting something new in 2012 and ending up with a bronze medal in 2014 is no less than a great achievement.

When Dushyant started rowing at the age of 20 in the army camp, he probably didn’t think of considering it as his main agenda in life. To set a will power to believe in something which is challenging, tough and unsure needs a lot of courage. The hard work, emotional stability and dedication it requires is demanding beyond the self declared ability. 2 years seems less of a time for us but the same 2 years was a lot for him. It’s the way how people see things.

The more we think we can’t we end up right and the more we think we can, again we end up right!
